By bike, on the famous Loire à Vélo itinerary

La Loire à Vélo is 900 km of safe, signposted itineraries that combine active leisure, lush nature, châteaux visits and wine tasting. Tours is one of the highlights of this cycle route.

  • Tours – Rochecorbon (10 km): a bucolic stroll along the banks of the Loire with views of the famous troglodytes, a visit to the ancient Marmoutier Abbey where Saint Martin founded a small hermitage in the 4th century and a festive break at the guinguette in Rochecorbon, a village with the “Petite Cité de Caractère” label.
  • Tours – Villandry (21 km): the banks of the Vieux Cher, the Grand Moulin at Ballan-Miré, traditional boats in the village of Savonnières, the castle and gardens of Villandry – discover the highlights of this section!
