Examples of congress bids and event management.

ENCALS 2019
European Congress (450 participants)
A project led by Philippe CORCIA, Professor of Neurology at Tours University Hospital. The Convention Bureau provided complete coordination of the event, managing accommodation, satellite meetings in different venues, excursions, welcome packs for participants… “A perfect, idyllic organization, because you are completely detached from the logistical side of your congress “.

FUB 2021
National Congress (250 participants)
The Convention Bureau and the local committee of the “Collectif Cyclistes 37” proposed Tours as a candidate for the 22nd National Congress of the FUB (Fédération des Usagers de la Bicyclette) for February 2022. This was a great opportunity to showcase Tours, the 5th largest city in France where bicycles are used on a daily basis, and a touristic hot spot for cyclists thanks to it’s itinerary, the “La Loire à Vélo”.

THERMEC 2025
International conference (650 participants)
We accompanied Caroline RICHARD, a researcher at the University of Tours, in her bid to host the International Conference on Advanced Materials. Mission accomplished: Tours won the congress bid, and the Convention Bureau managed accommodation for 650 delegates!

IFSA 2025
International conference (400 participants)
An international conference for which the Convention Bureau managed accommodation, excursion and transportation to the Château de Chenonceau and the Caves de Vouvray.
And we’ve already won bids for the months and years to come!

CGT 2026
National Congress (2000 participants)
Tours will host the CGT National Congress thanks to a bid submitted by the Convention Bureau. We will manage accommodation for the 2000 delegates expected at the congress.

Electromagnetic Induction Workshop 2028
International Congress (500 participants)
A bid proposed by the Convention Bureau for BRGM (Bureau de Recherches Géologiques et Minières) in 2024 during the Congress in Japan. 500 participants from all over the world will gather at the Convention Centre of Tours in September 2028, with a day dedicated to the discovery of the Clos Lucé!

National Provincial Dermatology Days 2028
National Congress (1,000 participants)
A bid orchestrated by the Convention Bureau in collaboration with the “Association des Dermatologues du Centre-Ouest” and Tours University Hospital.
The result: 1,000 participants are expected in Tours for this congress in 2028 !
